Overview
What is the 2 Step Challenge?
The 2 Step Challenge is a two-phase evaluation account with:
Phase 1 Target: 8%
Phase 2 Target: 5%
Maximum Static Drawdown: 8%
Daily Drawdown: 4%
There are no time limits on completing either phase.
If you hit the profit target without breaching the drawdown rules, and you pass KYC, you will get funded.
Trading Rules
Stop Losses
Stop loss is no longer required. This applies to all accounts.
News Trading
News trading is not allowed.
Please ensure trades are not opened or closed 5 minutes before or after red folder news events. If they are, profits will be deducted at payout.
Copy Trading
Allowed to copy your own trades.
Copying other tradersâ trades in the same timeframe is not permitted.
Margin Usage
Trades may not use more than 80% of available margin. This is checked at payout and breaches will be detected then.
Tick Scalping
Please avoid any attempts at tick scalping, and keep trades open for over 2 minutes.
Drawdown & Targets
Maximum Static Drawdown
Max drawdown = 8% of initial balance.
Example: On a $100,000 account, equity may never drop below $92,000.
Unlike daily drawdown, this limit does not reset.
Maximum Daily Loss (Daily Drawdown)
The maximum daily loss is 4% of the initial account balance.
Each day at 5pm EST, we calculate your new daily loss limit by taking the higher of your account balance or equity, then subtracting 4% of the initial balance.
Example 1: With Floating Profit
On a $100,000 account, if at 5pm EST you have an open trade with a floating profit of $2,000, your equity is $102,000.
The next day, your equity cannot drop below $98,000 ($102,000 minus $4,000).
Example 2: With Floating Loss
On a $100,000 account, if at 5pm EST you have an open trade with a floating loss of $2,000, your equity is $98,000.
Since your $100,000 balance is higher, the daily drawdown is based on that.
The next day, your equity cannot fall below $96,000 ($100,000 minus $4,000).
Profit Targets
Phase 1: 8%
Phase 2: 5%
Floating Loss Rule (Funded Account Only)
If your account equity ever falls more than 2% below the starting balance (including floating losses, swaps, and commissions), penalties will apply:
1st breach: Profit split is halved.
2nd breach: Account closed.
Example: On a $100,000 account, if your starting balance is $100,000 and you have trades open that together push your equity below $98,000 (a 2% floating loss), the system will register a breach. After the second breach, the account will be closed.
Example: If you are on a $100,000 account, your balance is $102,000, and your equity drops to $97,900, your equity is more than 2% below the $100,000 starting balance, so the system will register a breach.
This rule applies only to accounts purchased after 15th June 2025.
Payouts
Withdrawal Schedule
Payouts are every 14 days, as long as you have met the requirements to request.
24-Hour Payout Guarantee
Payouts are guaranteed within 24 business hours.
If delayed, youâll receive an extra 10% on your profit split.
Exceptions:
Weekends/holidays (bank delays)
Compliance checks / risk review
Delays in Rise onboarding or user response
Profit Split
Standard split = 80/20.
Minimum Profitable Trading Days
To request a payout you must meet 3 profitable trading days.
A profitable trading day is defined as a day where at least 0.5% profit is made.
This is required on the challenge, and funded account.
Rule Breaches & Payout Denials
Soft Breaches (Profit Deductions)
If you break a rule (e.g., tick scalping, or other restrictions), the profit from that trade is deducted from your total profit.
If deductions are less than your profit, the reduced payout is still processed.
If deductions are greater than your profit (e.g., $3,000 profit but $4,000 deducted), your payout is denied.
You have a maximum of 20 soft breaches before account closure. This is detected at payout stage, not automatically.
If 50% or more of your trades are soft breached, your payout will be declined. For example, if you have 15 trades and 10 of them are in breach of our rules, the payout will be declined.
Payout Denial Penalties
1st denial: Profit split is halved.
2nd denial: Account closed.
